My formative travels across the western states gave me deep admiration for the continually
unfolding landscapes and its complex ecological fabric. Central to my awareness was man’s
presence and his clear disturbance of the enviroment. The wilderness gets pushed back.
Traditionally, man has ignored the ecological fragility of the earth and has expanded by covering
over the surface of the planet in a crust of pavements. Upon this paving, our urban aspirations,
encourage over population. My Art is responsive to the ongoing nature verses culture tension, it
seeks to draw attention to the ecological crisis generated by territorialism, a reminder that the
problem is geometrically progressing as the world continues to be paved.
